I’m a PhD student in data science, working on how artificial intelligence can engage with human perspectives, values, and ambiguity. My research sits at the intersection of large language models, qualitative methods, and societal impact. I’m interested in how AI can move beyond prediction to interpretation, working with interviews, narratives, and other forms of complex human data that don’t fit neatly into quantitative frameworks. More broadly, I explore how AI systems are shaped by, and in turn shape, social, cultural, and political contexts. At the core of my work is a simple question: who gets to shape the behavior of AI - and how? I’m interested in building AI systems that are not just powerful, but accountable, transparent, and grounded in human values.
